About the project

As a lifelong fan of their games since their arcade machines packed pizza parlors, it was a dream come true collaborating with legendary Japanese game developer SNK Corporation to bring The Last Blade fighting game series to comics. As writer, producer, and editor I wore many hats building and managing the team but above all gained invaluable experience working directly with a game development team to ensure the comic remained faithful to the creative vision of the games all the while expanding and enriching the universe. Thanks to the incredible artists at Cocoon Production with colors by Dojo Gubser and letters by Alex Culang, the series spanned 24 “episodes” and was digitally published on Tapas. A physical print version was later published and distributed across all Five Below stores across the US.
