About the project

Partnering with MYTHIC TALENT—a premier talent agency managing high profile content creators—BEYOND THE VALE represents one of the most ambitious projects I’ve tackled. Our goal was to create an original action-fantasy story that seamlessly brought together some of the biggest Youtubers, VTUBERS, Twitch streamers, and more with the best of webcomic storytelling. In the vein of multimedia projects like Critical Role and The Legend of Vox Machina, BEYOND THE VALE features a cast of characters based directly on over 15+ popular content creators. To ensure each character authentically reflected their respective creator—and paid tribute to the cast’s combined 50+ million followers—I worked directly alongside each talent as lead producer to capture their character’s distinct brand and voice, established online lore, and fan communities. In addition to building the creative team and leading the project’s production, I also lead the narrative development of the world and character arcs alongside our writer, A.C. Eberhardt, and Storyground’s Head of Content, Linda Giang. Thanks to the expertise and immense talent of the artists at SEER STUDIOS and the entire team at Storygrounds, BEYOND THE VALE spanned 38 episodes, balancing a massive cast with large-scale action and character-driven drama. Beyond bridging diverse online communities into an original universe, the series also pushed the boundaries of webcomics through limited animation, dynamic panels, and visual effects (animated samples in the gallery below), blurring the line between content creation and immersive storytelling.
